About BlackTeacherHub

An ACE Academy Educator Platform

Welcome to BlackTeacherHub, a community curated for Black educators. An online platform dedicated to empowering Black educators by providing a central hub for sharing resources, materials, employment opportunities, research, and evidence-based practices specifically tailored to the needs of Black students and teachers.

We offer resources tailored for diverse classrooms, including materials relevant to Black history, literature, STEM, mental health and culture.

Our goal is to empower Black educators and help them reach their full potential. We believe in promoting equitable education for all students, which is why our resources are designed to support the inclusion of Black culture and history in the classroom.

This platform aims to foster a supportive community, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing among educators committed to addressing the unique challenges and promoting the success of students of color.

The Problem:

Black educators face a number of challenges in the classroom, including:

  • Lack of access to high-quality resources and materials that are culturally relevant to their students

  • Isolation and lack of support/mentoring from other BIPOC educators

  • Resistance from colleagues and administrators to teaching about race and racism

Our Goal

Resource Centralization: Create a user-friendly, centralized online platform offering a diverse array of resources, tools, and materials aligned with the needs of students of color and Black educators.

Community Collaboration: Foster a dynamic community by encouraging Black educators to share successful teaching practices, strategies, and resources to support the diverse learning needs of students of color.

Professional Development: Provide opportunities for professional growth by sharing the BEI’s workshops, events, and discussions on culturally responsive teaching, and equity in education.

Support Network: Establish a supportive environment where Black educators can seek advice, mentorship, and guidance from experienced peers and experts in the field.

Evidence-Based Practices: Curate and promote evidence-based approaches, ensuring that all shared resources and strategies are grounded in research and proven to be effective for Black students.

Black Male Educators: Support the recruitment and retention of Black Male Educators across the nation.
